RULES

1. Each artist will pay a $100 entry fee due by July 31st 2025. Fee is payable via cashapp, or venmo. If you don't have an account with any of these services, we can arrange a check by mail. If your deposit is not in place by July 31st, another band on the waitlist will be given the opportunity to take the spot.

2. Artists will play a 25 minute set with a 10 minute changeover. If your setup runs longer, the time will be deducted from your play time.

3. Disrespect towards any of the other artists, the venue(s), or the sponsor(s) will result in immediate disqualification. 

4. Any legitimate suspicion of cheating will result in immediate disqualification. 

5. Any prize won by an artist is to be scheduled with the company or individual providing the service. Contact info will be provided to everyone. 

6. For the qualifying events, artists are to arrive at the venue 1 hour before doors, and time slots will be assigned once everyone arrives. 

7. Any artist participating in the event will automatically be qualified for 15% of services from Shellshock Multimedia until the end of 2026 regardless of whether or not they win the competition. 

8. Artists will be allowed to sell any merchandise they wish at the event they are playing. Due to space limitations, each artist will be limited to half of a table provided by the venue for displaying their merchandise. 

9. Artists selling merchandise are entitled to 100% of the proceeds from their sales. The venue(s) and sponsor(s) have no claim to sales revenue. 

10. Dates for qualifying events will be scheduled on a first-come first-serve basis. A total of 20 artists will be involved, and at the time of typing this document, 26 artists have expressed interest. 

11. Qualifying round will be judged 50/50 between a ballot vote from the attendees and scoring from a panel of judges(outlined below). Artists will be scored out of a possibly 1000 points. 500 from votes and 500 from the judges. 

12. Each band will play 1 qualifying round and the top 2 from each will move onto the finals. 5 competing bands at each qualifying event and 8 in the finals.

13. After receipt of deposit, any artist that cancels will receive 50% of their deposit back. Any cancellations less than two weeks before your band’s scheduled date will result in a forfeit of the deposit.

14. In the unlikely event of a tie, Shellshock Multimedia will have final say for the tiebreaker.
